Healthcare for Multiple Sclerosis Abstract The Jackson Center for Multiple Sclerosis aims at providing affordable and quality healthcare for patients suffering with multiple sclerosis. As a result, the organization has identified five strategic goals that will help it achieve this mission. The goals address areas such as research, quality, competitiveness, values and purpose. Achieving these goals require the adoption of effective strategies. Multiple Sclerosis The Jackson Center for multiple sclerosis aims at providing affordable and quality health care that is based on evidence.

It has identified five strategic goals whose achievement will help it realize this mission. The goals address quality, competitiveness, research, innovation and advancing the purpose of the organization. They reflect the values and vision of the organization. Their achievement is important in the battle against multiple sclerosis at the organizational and societal level. The first goal of Jackson Center for Multiple Sclerosis focuses on the indiscriminate delivery of quality healthcare. As a result, the organization shall develop a policy to serve everyone who seeks its services.

This is an implementation strategy. The second alternative strategy involves the participation in established quality and customer delivery study. This is a competitive strategy that enables the organization to measure the quality of their healthcare and customer service (Kelkar, 2010). Lastly, the center will need to develop an implementation strategy for evaluating the quality and fairness of its service. Customer feedback is the greatest measure of the quality of service provided by an organization (Thomas& Applegate, 2010).

The second goal addresses the objective of the organization to be the best healthcare provider in multiple sclerosis. In order to achieve this goal, an adaptive strategy called vertical integration needs to be applied so as to reduce costs and enhance the competitiveness of the organization (Harrigan&Harrigan, 2003). Another adaptive strategy will be the automation of routine tasks to increase efficiency at the hospital. In addition, there will be a competitive strategy which involves attracting the best talent in the industry.

The third goal states the aim to be a leading research center for multiple sclerosis. Firstly, the center will have to adopt a market entry strategy of developing its internal research capacity by raising the capital expenditure required and the ability of its staff to research. Secondly, it will collaborate with learning institutions, which is an adaptive strategy. Thirdly, the organization will partner with technology and pharmaceutical firms to create cutting edge research facilities. This is a competitive strategy.

The fourth goal is focusing on evidence driven health care. The center will use an adaptive strategy of using available industry data on multiple sclerosis. In addition, it will adopt a market entry approach of partnering with a data analytics company to collect and analyze data on the various types of treatment. In addition, it will develop its analytical capability, which is acompetitive strategy by hiring data analysts to study available and emerging industry data. The final goal states that the center will contribute towards improving the quality of people with multiple sclerosis.

Firstly, it will pursue an adaptive strategy of partnering with stakeholders in the healthcare industry to create awareness and facilitate development in the battle against the disease (Cummings& Worley, 2009). Secondly, it will use a competitive strategy in pricing its services. This will enable more people to be able to afford quality health care. The third strategy to achieving this goal involves the introduction of new products, which is an adaptive strategy. This will lead to advancements in the care and treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis, which will help to improve their quality of life.

In conclusion, the organization needs to use adaptive, market entry, competitive and implementation strategies to achieve its strategic goals. The strategies include partnerships with strategic partners and the introduction of new products. In addition, it will focus on data and participate in studies that measure the quality of service. As a result, the organization will be able to achieve its mission by providing clients with affordable and quality health care. ReferencesCummings, T. G., & Worley, C. G. (2009).
