The Most important Event The beginning of disease and racism and oppression The nature of life and society of America can be known before the America and that has been before the arrival of Columbus. There has been an event of conquest once Columbus arrived and there was change in the attitude of Native Americans to Europeans. The idea or the event can be said as genocide. The event that can be said as historical in the development of America as the period before the arrival of Columbus has been said to be the most peaceful of event and the people of America were said to be attracted towards a period of exploitation and disease. That has been the main beginning cause of the suffering that America has been suffering today. That is what said in the book American Holocaust, by David E. Stannard . There has been saying that Columbus has been helpful in introducing disease that has been killing thousands of Indians who were not immune to the organisoms.Columbus did not have any idea that he had been arriving in new world and he had started the journey in search of India.Stannard has been noting that there was an irony of tragedy that has said that the greatest threat to the health of native Americans was happening even when they had the good health. The disease that had been identified was the gastointenstional disease and various minor infections and that had been enlarging by continuous exposure to it. There has been change in the living conditions and nutritional conditions, and the journey of Columbus second time to the New World has been changing due to the sickness that has been bought with it. The event unfolded in the year 1494 when Columbus arrived on the northern coast of Hispaniola and this was the area where Columbus had been trying to build the new world capital and that has been in the town of Isabella. The sickness has been bought by the crew and that had spread among the natives very fast. The healthy crew that was supposed to explore the island in search of the mysterious collection of gold came back with illness along the way. There was lot of illness that has spread and that has been accounted for. There was speculation that it was malaria or intestinal infection and so on. Stannard has been arguing that Europeans and white Americans were responsible for the natives getting the disease and they were getting plague and atrocities. That had resulted in a situation where there was ninety five per cent of populations has been left dead.Stannard has been turning the heat on the Christians and the book has been digging deeply into ancient European and Christian attitude towards sex, race and war and the book goes deeper into the cultural ground well prepared by the middle ages. There has to be war against the original inhabitants of the new world. There was another view point from the Stannard that there was infusion into American culture and that had been followed separately In the Nazi .There has been large scale justifications of Americans invasion to large scale ,military intervention into the Middle East and Southeast Asia. There has been case of Europeans taking over the world by decimating the inhabitants of new world and they have influential in introduction of new disease and pathogens and parasites. The major advantage of the Columbus was making America into charnel house. The Act of oppression and racism The story that unfolds below is not only the taking of Californian by Anglo Americans but the beginning of racism and that can be stated as the important idea. There has been liberation of trade by the Mexican in California and there has been discovery of gold that has been in San Francisco bay. There has been arrival of Anglo American settlers that has been with the purpose of making fortune of gold mines and the exhaustion of gold mines has meant that the other economic activities like ranching has been met. The Mexicans were slowly subdued and their land has been taken.( Rodolfo, A)This can be understood in the way colonization has been working though out the world. There were reports or facts that England had colonized the third world countries all over the world which can be equated to this incident and this has to be seen in the wider context of Iraq being invaded by America. There has been development in technology in the early years in California and this can be proved by the development of rail road and the development has led to the bringing down of Mexican people as they have been reduced to low class people who has been survived from wages and they have been earning from Anglo Indians.( Rodolfo, A)The Anglo Americans has been able to take upper hand over the Mexican and that has been largely influenced by “ricos”.Closely looking into this ,we can see that the history has been repeating that minority group has been able to influence the majority thing or opinion and that has been as seen all over the world.( Rodolfo, A)The rich Mexicans had thought of tying up with interest of Anglo Americans so that they can benefit from each other and looking at the present history of Iraq, we can safely note that there was some uneasy alliance between some Iraqis and Americans as both tried to benefit from each other presence. There was idea of political power being gained in the Mexican case and the constitution has helped the Native Americans or California’s to have eight out of forty-eight delegates. The rest of the positions were taken by the Anglos and they had the legal statehood after the conquest. The main aim of the whole drama was to sideline the poor and create a cordial relation with invaders and that will create prestige also. There was a case of solitary Mexican delegate Jose Carrillo who had the power to vote for the entry of Negroes to California. The end constitution in the California was that it was in tune with the invaders and gave the much needed protection for their dominance and ricos were successful in suppressing the resistive movements and that were supporting the poor cholos and silenced the voice of demands that can be termed as justifiable. There has been case of hanging the two rebel leaders and the ricos were able to silence the poor masses and the Anglos were given the necessary power to handle the state. The ricos culture intertwined with the Anglos and there was case of intermarriage and that has been done to gain the prestige and gain acceptance into white race which has been considered superior. The relevance of the incident even today is because of the fact that it is still considered as white race is the mentally superior race to rule the world and the colored ones to obey. That has been the main reason behind the attitude of America trying to rule the world by overtaking the United Nations. That has been the main reason why there is more complaint of dumping of technology into third world countries. The Anglo men had the male superiority attitude surfacing up with rich wives being dumped off and that had the chance of winning over the property and that had helped them to gain control of the economy. The “ricos” had always believed supporting the white race would keep them in good stead and this was the principle that was followed even when they were removed from the corridors of power. The support had helped Anglos gain control over California and that will have gain politically and economically. There were large scale violence that was being used by the Anglos to intimidate and subdue or conquer the native Mexicans and this can be equated with the Nazi violence, the violence of America in different manner with Cuba as it is more of economical and trying to make Iran to come to terms with America and that can be termed as the political incidence. There is case of war that is going on between Israel and Palestine and that has to be seen in the context of conquering the Mexicans by Anglos. The violence that was unleashed meant that the native Mexicans were disposed of land and made them reduce to landless and menial wage earners and there was no allowed to participate in the judiciary. There was no legal back up for the cause and that had created a situation when native Mexicans had no legal backup. There has been no condemning of the violence by church and that has meant that the Anglos had gone the extra way to loot the Mexicans. There was no condemnation of violence from the point of church. The Anglos had gone a little bit further by murdering the Mexicans who had questioned them and they were driving out the Mexicans from the mines and sometimes it was too violent. The California Land act had given the extra legal stage to drive them out of court and some were forced to defend their lands and there were cases of dispose their land to pay the litigation fee. There has been case of throwing out land at a throw away price and that has been done for losing everything and those who had the courage to stay with the land were violently evicted by the squatters and there were murdering of surveyors. The violence bay had meant that the Mexicans were kept at check and they were not allowed to raise their head.Californias were reduced to a land of landless. The ruling of the Anglo American was brutal and that had meant that California’s to rebel against the dominance and this had started with the resisting with the invasion but were over ruled by better ammunition. This is happening in latest eras also when Israel has been overcoming the resistance of Palestine and that has to be understood in wider context when the children are being targeted. This has been the case of every method of warfare when this has been witnessed in the Sri Lanka also. There LTTE has used the children and local people areas for covering up and this can be equated with resistance and that has been the case with Mexicans resistance to Anglos. The resistance has been supported by the Mexican masses and there were key rebels and the rebels who had lost the support of ricos meant that they ended up as hanging. There was era of intense rebellion and that has been the case all over the world. The invasion of California by the Anglos had changed the context or the texture of the land and that has meant that Anglos had been able to dominate the proceedings thanks to the wide and extended support given by ricos and there was turning of racism that was given a blind eye by the ricos which had worsened the situation. There was change in the attitude of the Ricos and by the time they had become American state. The concept of racism has been introduced by the fact that Americans were adept at showing against the indigenous population and racism cannot be mentioned as an insult to the Euro American demeanor but it is one of the main factors that make the behavior that Euro Americans has with the indigenous population. (Powers, Vieira, Karen )There has been a belief that the racism has been a factor in the American life early from the seventeenth or eighteenth century. The racial behavior can be equated with the behavior of Nazis to Jews and in the present ages the behavior of Jews to Muslims. The Jews were forced by the Nazis to go with forced labor and starvation and disease and that has been done once again to the Muslims in Palestine by Israel. The Native Americans are still considered as the most diverse groups that have been living in America and more than 500 different tribes in various locations and they have been the one that is still under poor conditions in America.( Schultz, D. Jeffrey ., Haynie, L. Kerry., and Aoki, L. Andrew) Conclusion The essay has been started with the so called invention of America by Columbus and that has been the first step in elimination of the group that was in America. The story gets repeated once again by the story of California which was taken over by the white people by eliminating Mexican people. Anglo American has been able to take over the control of California. This has been happening even in modern day history with religious groups and developed countries trying to take control of developing countries. Reference David E.
