Health and Safety Training at Oshawa Car Assembly plant setting This is a of newly recruited fabricators and other subordinate staff. The fabricators will be working on the vehicle body parts building section of the company. The other subordinate staff members will be in charge of running support errand to this group like deliveries of materials and other requirements. This group will b supervised by a maintenance supervisor who reports to the departmental head. The departmental heads are part of the management of the company that has a total workforce of 300 employees working both full time and part time.

Training goal: the goal of this training exercise is to ensure that the new employees are familiar with the exercises that reduces or prevents health related problems in their workplace. It also seeks to improve the overall safety of the work environment.Training objectives:I. To demonstrate how to carry out first aid to co-workers in the case of injuries sustained accidentally in the workshop.II. To explain how to contain the spread of small fires in the workshop in case a fire occurs in the workshop area or anywhere within the plant.III. To explain the importance and purpose of personal protective equipment when working or present in the workshop.

To assess whether these training objectives have been met, the employees will be interviewed individually when training finishes. The intention of the interview is to determine how each employee understands the training activities (Fink, 2010).
